Is there a high tack tape that will stick to painted concrete block? Putting up semi temp banners

I like gorilla tape (similar to duct tape) for taping patterns and such to brick and concrete, but I wouldn't trust it for long.

Or maybe VHB?

3M has a high-tack VHB that we use on concrete block to put up ADA signs. I don't remember which # it is. It sticks, and I mean sticks. A banner sounds temporary though. Might be hard to find a middle ground.... "want it to remove but want it to stay up..."

Good Luck. Been there...

middle ground- R-Tape has a blue screenprinter's tape that will stick tor quite a while and is still fairly easy to remove. we use it to adhere the release liner from laminate to the cores on our laminator... stuff's cheap (5-8$/roll) and sticks well to anything... even the slick side of release liner.

Tape to support weight (like ADA signs) is one thing... tape to withstand wind load is altogether another... so, don't let wind behind, and you need a whole lot less tape... maybe go with coro signs instead....

When your banner is wrapped around the windscreen of the school bus don't expect to hear anything from 3m save the sound of footsteps receeding into the far distance at great speed.

Doug's idea of using a rigid board sounds more likely to work... all it takes is for a puff of wind to get behind your banner and it'll be flying off down the road.

If you have to use banner drill & plug a few holes and use 4mm screws and penny washers... a few easily filled holes won't look as messy as strips of bare concrete which you'll undoubtedly get when you rip the tape off the wall.
