    do you test you electrical "thingy" on your stud finder first, to make sure it is operating correctly?

    Basically, the NEC saves most folks from drilling into wire by specifying how deep the wire needs to be within the wall. Otherwise, electrical should have been routed across the lower half of the wall unless there is a switch or light on the wall. Look at some NEC documentation, you'd be surprised how much stuff they thought out...

    my father had a knack, he could hammer a small nail to hang a picture and poerce a piece of bx cable...

    the good thing about cordless tools is that their housings are double insulated, making it safer when we have these minor accidents
