We remove ours. Takes about 10 minutes per side on a 12', which is a LOT faster than Rolleproing, no matter how fast you are...
Anyone who thinks they can tunnel vinyl, heat, and roll faster than it takes to zip out a line of rivets is dreaming.

Plus failure points everywhere.
