Vinyl for second surface lettering.

Hey, guys. I am going to be lettering the inside of some windows, facing out, and I have a question concerning which vinyl to use.

I normally use Oracal 751, but can I use 651? The only issue that I can see is the heat from the glass affecting it...I just don't want it to fail.

The lettering is black with a white outline.

You should be okay with 651 although it might shrink back a bit more.

Are you layering the white/black? Another option would be to reverse print black and back with white vinyl then shape cut.

In that case I use 3651 clear w/ 651 white.

it's going to be layered. I don't have a printer.

+1 to that.
if you weren't layering it you could get a way with the 651. it won't fail but it does shrink so if you layer the vinyl it will pull away and could mess up the graphic.

I agree because of the layering and inside applied overlap, use 751.

If it was layered on the OUTSIDE or just single color on the inside, it'd say 651.
