What am I supposed to do with this?

Long time customer, and a good guy, who has all the design sense of an artichoke, finally decided to break down and pay somebody to create a new image for his company. He wanted something he could brand his business around. He does on-site computer repair (think geek squad).

He's thrilled with the results and wants to have his new van lettered using his new image. The "designer" didn't create the full "branding" image, just the cartoon computer guy. Apparently the rest of the "branding" is supposed to be handled by printers and sign people to create a professional image for him.

So my question is....WHAT IN THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS?

That is so terrible! He paid someone to design this for him? I would tell him the truth and ask him if he wants a real logo made. That one looks like it was made in Microsoft paint!

There's quite a few things wrong with that picture, the worst is probably the "message" I got from it, which is "fix it yourself!", why else would the laptop be holding the screwdriver!

Good luck on that one Pat!

Long time customer, and a good guy

I interpret this as possible a good relationship. Tell the guy that a sad face computer, representing the actual technician is not going to be a good image and then change it all-together.

dam.. a frowning lapp top with a screw driver pointing somewhere.
IF he was smiling it could at least point to his name and phone number..

It is awful, but I see it as the laptop giving the screwdriver to someone who knows what they are doing, after maybe trying to fix it himself. I can't explain the wheels though. I understand the mobile repair aspect, but why would a laptop have wheels?

That's what I don't get. This is the third "image" he's used over the years and they've all been sick computers and he's using the wheels to show he's a mobile repair shop. He just didn't get that he's mobile, not the sick computer.

gees ... I would design something else ... use that as a before picture and show outstanding work as the after present yours not to worry he will pick yours

yes it looks like a sad lawn mower, then read you story thought gees sad computer .... by the way negative ads and logo identity's do not work folks

After Googling "Computer Repair Logos", in comparison, that thing is a work of art... yikes!

Yikes... why would anyone call that guy... he's obviously got a virus!

Seriously though... you need to let him know, that juvenile hodge-podge of clip-art, is not going to serve him well.

that is so horrid! I feel bad for your customer and you. if you are forced into using this high-tech, sick lawn mower, make it really small and rely on copy to sell the idea
