avg is a resource hog, it wasnt always that way. And as far as microsoft coming out with something to "improve or protect" I think not. Thats like the taliban coming out with a bomb detection device!

AVG Free Edition here, Been using it for years and it works great.

I bought the CA Security crap and it was the biggest waste of money. I would get viruses and it wouldn't even detect it in a scan or nothing. AVG saved my computer this last time.

Only reason i switched for a month or two is cause the computer builder recommended it to me but it was garbage.
