What kind of work vehicle do you use?

We have a 2011 HHR for small installs and deliveries. Then the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 hemi for towing and hauling signs. Was thinking of getting another HHR for the guys to drive because they get good mileage, look kinda cool and don't cost much. They are difficult to wrap though. Oh yeah, the Camaro is part of the fleet too. Says my accountant since we slapped our logo on it.

We have a couple work vehicles. One is a bucket truck for installs/repair of signs that are really high up. I think the reach on that one is 40ft or so. That one has a lot of utility compartments on it. Sometimes we have to rent one that goes up higher for particular jobs such as gas stations pole signs, etc. Other one is a ford f-150 truck to carry ladders, etc. I guess it would all depend on what type of work you do.

2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with 6-1/2' bed and 4.7L V8. 195K miles and so far 100% trouble-free. Was thinking about replacing it with a newer model but upon further review, I think I will keep her at least another year. I have put about 40K miles on her the past year so I would like to get a newer truck since they get better mileage but the Eco-Diesel is out of my price range right now.
A friend of mine put 350k on his Ram 1500 same year and engine and it was still going. I got rid of my F250 powerstroke for an ecodiesel, 23-24mpg around town and 27 on straight highway trips. Never broke 14 mpg with the F250.

Well, after two weeks I am loving this service body truck. The bed is a hair over 4'x8'. It has 8' long tool boxes along the top and one of them had 8 screw bins that you can take out and carry. The little "table" that is above the wheel wells is cool..like someone else mentioned. Everything feels secure, all the boxes lock and nothing gets knocked over while driving. I used to have a van and then an SUV and the sound of all the tools clattering and making noise drove me nuts while driving, but since there are no tools in the cab it's very quiet. Never had a 3/4 ton truck before so I was surprised at how easily it tows the man-lifts. The gas is horrible... 10 mpg hwy and 8 city, but the difference of having all my tools handy is night and day! I should of done this a long time ago since I primarily install for a living.
