Good to see everything went well for you and your customer is happy, but you said something here, that kinda scares me a little.
You made mention of a scissor rental and a friend helping you. With the kind of questions you had and your lack of general knowledge how to do this project, I think you overlooked one very important detail. Were, or are you fully insured to do this type of project and if not, how did you ever obtain permits, not to mention with a helper that is not employed with your company, therefore not fully covered with your company ??
Even if he has his own insurance, was he involved as a sub-contractor and had adequate liability insurance for such a job and entered in as a separate company ??
Did the rental company ask you for liability insurance.... they should have.
Did you provide safety harness[es] for anyone up on a ladder or lift ??
