What to use for strips on new backlit faces when using Polycarbonate?

I'm changing a bunch of faces for backlit signs. Replacing the acrylic with polycarbonate. In the past to make the strips that hang in the frame I've used polycarbonate scraps and drilled and screwed. Does anyone have a better way? Is there a glue for this like there is for acrylic? And the job is time sensitive, so any other ideas would be appreciated. even if there is an adhesive.

Methylene Chloride or a 60%/40% mixture of Methylene Chloride and Ethylene DiChloride

This!
We use Channel Bond by Transco and it works magic.
The price of this stuff on the other hand.........................smh

Yep... Weldon-16.

Methylene Chloride (dichloromethane) is for acrylic.

Sometimes the hang bar is overkill.

How tall is the face?
