For paint booths that don't require outside venting (not tons of painting all day), I recommend:

It has a charcoal filter system that will pick up all your overspray and most of your fumes/odors. Again, this is no substitute for 40 hrs a week spraying, but for doing a handful of signs each week, this will get you going in the right direction.
If you want to put in a paint booth, it will be an air permit (depending on your state), and if you're in a cold region, you will need an air makeup unit. You can't just exhaust air and not replace it. It will have to be heated before it comes into your shop.
