So, I got little problem with my Roland RS 640 - it called "motor error" on me, and asked to turn off the machine. I got this 2 or three times during 4 years that I have my Roland, - it does one circle of cleaning after shut down and all is ok.
However, I've noticed little funny sounds while the machine is cleaning, little louder than before. It was NOT after the mentioned problem, but for the past month or so, and I thought it's just little tired {)) - 4 years is not little time.
I am cleaning head regularly, last time it was 10 days ago, and everything was fine, but today I started manual cleaning to see if the tin cover (just behind wipers, that is easy to move) - is not settled up properly, which could cause motor error.
I saw WIPERS are NOT in their usual place, ready to be cleaned. Then I tried starting "wiper replacement" - and same thing happend, wipers are not "on the open" - they are hidden behind machines hard-cover.
I've checked little encoder behind wipers that actually is moving them - it is, well, THERE, and looks ok to me.
I also tried pushing wipers a little manually, thinking they're stuck or something, but they didn't move.
What can be the problem? Anybody have any experience with this?
