Has anyone used 3rd party ink in their HP's? There is a buzz about Sam Ink being a suitable replacement, but I'd like to hear from anyone that has used anything other than OEM.

To me that looks like you have some dust/dirt/debris on your printheads. I'd do a soak for no less than 4 hours and see if that doesn't remove the debris.

I went into the User Maintenance modes and readjusted the head height. I was printing on 3mm sintra and I could stick my pinky finger under the carriage! I got the height back to .060, did bidirectional and step checks (which weren't out of whack) and printed a test print. It's better but still...
