  1. VP-540 prints are spongy/grainy

Room temp had been 65, now I've got it about 72 to see if that makes any difference. So far I'm feeling sweaty. All Roland inks and parts. I use various media, concept glossy calendared, Roland pcv2, 3m ij1080, and some others. Always with appropriate profiles. I think you're correct in it being...

Thanks for the input, So when I am in Versaworks under Printer Controls, for Heater Controls should I select Use Custom Settings or Use Default Media Settings? Both read (40C and 45C)
  3. VP-540 prints are spongy/grainy

It's a vector image, no issue with the file. No part of the print is good, its equally spotty throughout. I'm dying here :D I may just run with it. But Hillsdale is more than just a bit backwoodsy....
  9. Shrinking Material causing failures

Humidity in the shop can cause this even if just for a few hours. Funny thing is, if its too dry you'll also start drying out that adhesive wherever its cut. If you must use a repositionable vinyl, don't cut it until right before the install.
  10. Suggestions Looking for suggestions- "what to call my new work area?"

Funny, last week I finally moved into my donkey-barn-converted-sign-shop. And I've been struggling to name it. Pretty sure I'm just going to make a humble little sign that says "sign shop" and move on :D
