  1. outdoor 46 stoping in mid print

I've had some interesting problems with that. Most of my prints will work fine, though some do stop randomly. However, if they stop, it's usually when i'm printing multiples of something and it happens somewhere in the middle of the set, so I don't think it's the actual file causing the issue...
  2. Help! Printer stops....while "Printing"??!!

Mine randomly stops as well, i'm using a USB to Parallel cable though. Resetting the cable usually solves the issue, so I'm not sure if it's the printer or the cable with the issue. I usually power-cycle the printer after it stops and it'll run for awhile longer. Some people said it was static...
  3. Black nozzle issues - misdirection

I may try pulling the fluid through the damper side with the left head. It's pretty bad. I'm going to at least pull it out to inspect it. These things have less than two days of solid use on them, which is kinda disappointing, so hopefully I can get this one working again. It's also the same...
  4. Black nozzle issues - misdirection

I cleaned the capping station lines and pulled ink manually through it with a syringe to make sure it was getting ink. The nozzles and the directions where they are misdirected in seem to stay the same, almost consistent with something stuck in them. I've only used OEM inks, just bought Mutoh...
  5. Black nozzle issues - misdirection

Is this something that can happen with new heads? I'm kinda confused, one day they looked great, the next they looked like that, and I haven't been able to get anything to affect it..
  6. Black nozzle issues - misdirection

Well, I'm still struggling with misdirected nozzles on this thing. Black just won't clean up, no matter what. I've soaked it for an hour or so with a coffee filter/cleaning solution, cleaned the wiper every time the head uses it, and made sure the dampers are working. For some reason, the black...

Yep, they came both on the top of the box, and written on the side in black, hard-to-see-but-still-there sharpie.
  8. Falcon 1 Outdoor 48 rebuild - documenting!

Here's a few of the wiki pages I've been editing up. I'm building some icons to use for buttons, and creating illustrations to help out showing how to align the printer. Calibrate Home Diag Nozzle Check Calibrate Flushpoint Also, I've been having some issues with my black nozzles and...
  9. Falcon 1 Outdoor 48 rebuild - documenting!

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, I put up a new post on the blog. http://falconoutdoor.blogspot.com/2012/02/current-status.html A lot of the stuff I put up there has been talked about in this thread, but there's a bit of new stuff as well. Also, I'm working on a full-photo calibration...
  10. Falcon 1 Outdoor 48 rebuild - documenting!

I got the profile and it works great! It'll get me by until I can make my own, hopefully soon!
  11. Falcon 1 Outdoor 48 rebuild - documenting!

Could you post the profile here? I'd love to give it a shot on my machine and see how it reacts. I'm curious if it'll be better than the supplied profiles.
  12. falcon outdoor 46 48?

There are two separate generation printers you're talking about. The first generation is the Falcon Outdoor 46. The second generation is the Falcon II Outdoor 48. It's pretty easy to tell the difference: Falcon Outdoor Falcon II Outdoor As far as printing in one direction, you usually...
  13. leaving jr on overnight

I'd think as long as the head is on the capping station it shouldn't be that bad, the solvent used in the inks dries slowly. Even the ink that sat for 3 years in the lines on my machine was still fluid when i started flushing it. Might need to do a cleaning or two when you get back.. not sure...
  14. Falcon 1 Outdoor 48 rebuild - documenting!

I think you need to disable color correction when you go to print the swatches. You'll prolly use the linearization you determined before that, and this all should happen on a new profile, since you're creating one for the media. Disabling color correction will let the instrument see exactly...

Awesome! I'll hold off on buying things for awhile, we'll see what this one can do!
