I have a mimaki ds-1800 that has had a similar problem. I turned out to be the pump on mine, or the cap could be clogged.

Never looked on youtube for anything about a steamer. We use jacquard brand steamer. We also do some direct poly printing and use the same steamer to set those inks also, just different settings.

And make sure the bottom of the head carriage and the wiper is really clean, the ink gets sticky and that might be what is pulling it out.

I had this same problem after cleaning one time, i knocked it loose. Just make sure it is set all the way when putting back in. There are two tabs that sorta "click in" on the bottom. It took me a few times to get it set right but finally got it and have had no more problems with it.

I am looking for a flatbed cutting system for cutting fabrics( polyester and nylon). I have never used one before but went to SGIA show and saw a Zund. Loved it but drawn away because of the price. If anyone knows of a good brand that may be a little less pricey or maybe even selling a used one...
