  1. Vertical faint lines

I wasn't using rollers in the middle of this job. Only on the far left and right of the material. The other thing I've noticed is that it only seems to happen on jobs that involve purple print. Maybe that's just a coincidence though. I've run other jobs that have had no problems.
  2. Vertical faint lines

Hey guys, lately I've been having a problem with my machine printing a vertical faint line on my prints. It seems to always be in the same position and only when I'm printing on banner material. Any idea what could cause that/how to fix it? I'm using an SP-540i, Here's a pic to see what I mean:
  3. Cutting Problem

you might also want to try a different blade to get less drag. We use a 60 degree blade and it was a HUGE improvement over our 45 degree one.
  4. Roller marks

I found that I'd always get jamming and headstrikes if i don't use the rollers. The majority of my jobs have perf cutting being done and it always seems to bunch up in the middle without the rolls. I'm running my print heat at 45 degrees Celcius. Anything less than that setting and I was...
  5. Roller marks

Hey guys, I've noticed that my rollers are leaving marks on my material as it passes through. They look like indentations. It hasn't affected the colours or anything but it looks crappy when you see these wheel tread lines up and down the material. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm...
  6. Grainy Print Quality

I just checked my settings and the heater is set to print at 35degrees C (94F). speed is set to 30cm/sec I did print off the colour charts to see how it reacted to all the colours but wasn't sure if there was anything I could do with them.
  7. Grainy Print Quality

Thanks guys, I'll try those suggestions. I'm currently using Versaworks as my RIP software. The only material I've tried printing on so far has been the Roland ESM Glossy Calendared Vinyl. I've used the ESM-GCVP profile which I thought would be best suited for this product but I'll...
  8. Grainy Print Quality

Hey guys, I recently bought an Roland SP540i and it seems that the print quality is really grainy (much more noticeable on lighter colors) even when printing using the "high quality" setting". From a couple feet away things look alright but up close you really notice it. Any suggestions for how...
  9. Cutting Excess Vinyl Off Banner

I'm sorry, I did post in the "Newbies" section right? Maybe I got confused with the "Arrogant, Experienced Workers Who Like To Berate New People That Are Trying To Learn How To Do Things They've Never Done Before" section... I hope your companies don't have customer service like you offer here...
  10. Cutting Excess Vinyl Off Banner

Hey guys, Total noob question, but when printing on vinyl banners, what do you use to get rid of the excess white that surrounds the print? I'm currently using Roland Light Weight Banner material with a SP-540i to print. I'm assuming that there is some sort of cutter that most people use? Or...
