did you try Photoshop.. if you quick mask around the car. and select inverse and go to the Filters and go down to blur and mess around with that. It looks like a good time in Photoshop. It should give you the effect that you are looking for

The Trick is to use a 100% magenta line and save it as a swatch. named CutContour IT MUST BE labeled as CutContour NO SPACE!!!
and than on have the CutContour on its own layer. Save as an eps.. and you should be good to go.
