When printing on HP 560 and loading on Roland 540 to cut it is not finding the registration marks. Has anyone else had this issue? Everything looks good correct marks ... The Roland just looks for them in the wrong area when media is loaded.
Maybe I'm lucky I've never had a color shift problem. My shortest runs are probably around 50' . I use panels on almost every job and so far so good. On my Rolands I used to flip my panels ... But I really never had a issue it was just being cautious.
I've tried several times to start it without attaching it to the take up reel .. I have not had good success. Plus I've got other stuff going on usually and it's just easier to attach it to the take up reel and forget about it. I don't like it but I don't like having to pull vinyl off the...
I've been in this business over 35 years and I have both (3) Roland and (1) HP 560. I do a lot of show quality wraps and I love the HP it prints super fast and it is ready when it comes off the printer which is a big deal for me. The Roland Solvent are awesome machines they are faster to load...
Check your print size before lamination. I've never had a print stretch during lamination. Even if your backing paper is pulled back on the laminate to far and its allowed to stretch especially with heat on. The laminate its not going to stretch your print. It may make it curl, but not going to...
Well from my experience it comes from the way designers are taught and ILLUSTRATOR! I think I started with version 1.2 or something in college during the dark ages. Coming from a design BKG I had trouble going to print in offset 30 Years ago with illustrator! It only changed when I purchased my...
I would do what Jim said . The reason is to flush and fill the head with ink. The heads are shipped with a fluid in them to keep them from drying up. It appears that there is insufficient ink in the cyan part of the head, or its a little clogged. A few cleanings and it should come clean. I would...
Have you done all your calibrations? Your heads look like they are manually aligned OK. Remember that line is hard to see because it is Yellow . I'm a little rusty its been a while since I worked on these. I'm old so I use a mag glass in them ... But it looks like they are just out of line digitally
Well if you used to make decals with it you should have the software needed. Fixed the machine is probably worth around $3000. But if you don't use it a lot you will have issues with it. This machines are great ! But they need to run everyday not once a week or month.
Looks like a cable issue. Turn off all power and unplug your head cables inspect wipe clean and re-insert and try a print . You can swap cables around if it does it on the Black and Cyan then you will know its a cable and not your expensive head.
Since this happens while you are printing it appears to be above the print head ... Most likely a damper issue. Could be a issue with the O ring or clogged damper. Not sure which one because grey is made from more than just black ink you can take a magnifying glass and look at the dot pattern to...
Hello Guy, My advice is to buy at least a 54" printer and yes you will need a cutter if not now you will. Not having a cutter is really not a option in this business. Don't constrain your productivity by buying a small printer the difference in price is not enough to worry about. If you have...
Hey Joe, I used 3rd party. I traced the problem to a suction line on the pump. It was sucking air ... It looked like it was doing its job, I was unhooking just in front of it and sucking ink thru with a syringe. But it wasn't it had swelled a little over the few weeks I had printed. It is...
