Ok, we had this printing a so so grey finally and within the print half way it changes the grey to magenta :mad:. Did a test print and all nozzles firing perfect. This thing is never constant and has everything new in it including head, pump cap etc..Any ideas?

I've been printing since 2005 and only had Roland printers religiously and had quite a few different models. None have printed a decent grey and we tried everything in from profiles to pallets. Can anyone recommend a different brand solvent printer that will print a nice variety of grey that's...

We had the same issue and lowered the ambient temp of the room which fixed it for us.

Thank you rjs for the advise we will start doing that. I'm wondering, Is it possible this could be caused by the cap station unit being out of alignment to the head? also how much gap from the seal of the cap top to the head should there be when off the station. Thank you everyone for and advise.

Thank you for the reply's, we just changed them when we did the head. Its a new cap top and lines. We just changed the pump as well with the HE brand from ebay but was doing this before the pump change.

Thank you, so glad its not the ethernet from the printer because its part of the main board. Its weird that we ran version 4 with another roland VS for years. I went to the Roland page but they didn't have the version 5 and says needs to be purchased, but they did have the version 6 upgrade that...

Thank you all again for the comments, We are running versaworks 4. I just checked the firmware on the machine is 4.40 The latest from what roland webstie states is 5.10. I just tried updating the firmware and states "can not locate printer" Any ideas? thanks again everyone
