Had to do some emergency repairs on my 540v tonight...the left/right fixed pinch roller frames were sprung, and they would not clamp the media evenly. Not a problem until I did a print/lam/cut, then the media would skew (rollers not holding even tension). I pulled the left/right pinch wheel...

Head shot count...limit is 6billion, and can cause banding due to the head being too weak to fire straight. Have you had any head strikes lately? If the head gets tweaked, it requires a manual adjust. Sent you a pm.

How old is your machine?

...hasn't been that long since Roland released the VP series and dropped the SP price...they probably got it at the old price...lease or finance payoff...not justifying, they won't get it.
