    Try doing your prepping in smaller sections and don't let your cleaning agents air dry. Make sure you dry it ALL by hand before moving on for cleaning the next area.

    Til you go to all the trouble of trying to bring an old sign back to life, then painting/buffing it it's gonna cost about the same as a new panel. Are you sure the ghosting you're seeing is the old vinyl or where the sun hit it and hasn't dulled as fast as the exposed portions ??

    Razor blade will work. Done it myself a few times, just be careful, use the right angle and be sure it's a metal blade.

    I didn't mean a direct hit, but in the vicinity. Around here, during cold months, the snow plows will hit signs with such force, that in the spring there are lots of repairs needed. Built in obsolescence is nice, but ya need to at least construct them correctly to withstand normal conditions...

    It's not about good advice, but we're been around the block a time or two or 64. No need to make this thing withstand a cat 4 hurricane, but you're out near tornado alley. You might wanna consider what high winds come through and make your decision based off of that. Even around here, we get...
