  1. What did you all get?

I got the same thing I get every year, as shown in the photo. Sure, I bought it, and then cooked it... but the result is still a gift! And it keeps on giving, as there are still leftovers. Oh, and a travel mug & a bag of Dunkin' coffee. :)
  2. Someone just sent me this...logo?

Looks like the lenses have fallen out of everyone's magnifying glasses. Nuttin's gettin' magnified.
  3. Just In Hello ,Spark is limited,Spark is beautiful

And here I thought we were going to have a discussion about Adobe's web-based design app.
  4. People are getting edgy lately...

The reason people are on edge, and acting out, and getting belligerent, and violent, and accusatory, and hateful, is because of... ...all of the reasons expressed in the previous messages in this thread. I'm going to guess that most, if not all of you, have done something out of character by...
  5. Just In Some Friday fun......................................

Well, I already told the Red Paint one to the wife. So now, time to pay it back: Why did the cross-eyed teacher get fired? Because she couldn't control her pupils.
  6. News R I P Eddie Van Halen

And I hope that the late, great(est) Frank Zappa is up there conducting that incredible monster jam. Eddie is another is a long, endless list of legendary artists, tragically gone too soon. Every one of them had at least one more great song inside that we'll never get to hear.
  7. stumbled across this on Youtube

Very nice, I imagine you had a wide range of opportunities with a talent variety like that. Impressive.
  8. stumbled across this on Youtube

Bass player here too, Val, nice job. Got plenty of videos around like that as well... Played with this metal band since around 1991... oh wait, we're still together. So next year is 30 years of playing "Balls to the Wall". Gino, what do / did you play? Musically speaking.
  9. Securing 3mm PVC to Painted Wood

Thank you for the option, very much appreciated!
  10. Securing 3mm PVC to Painted Wood

I was banned on, let's see, my sign-on date says October 15th, 2016. So that would mean I was banned on October 15th, 2016. :) And it was due to (short version) asking about printing equipment recommendations for a company that hired me on for pre-press work and wanted to take its printing...
  11. Securing 3mm PVC to Painted Wood

This is why I was glad to be "unbanned" to take part in this forum: to help school, and be schooled. Honestly, I thought the thin PVC was a good solution that fit in with the customer's budget. But if this is just wrong, then I'll work it out and go another route as suggested. Thanks for the...
  12. Securing 3mm PVC to Painted Wood

Very much appreciate the material input! Alas, at this point in the project between time and price, we have to go with PVC as the substrate...
  13. Securing 3mm PVC to Painted Wood

I've got a project in the works for an 80" square sign, printed on two pieces of 40" x 80" butted-up 3mm PVC, going up on an outdoor wall space made of painted wood. Would screws and washers suffice for this, or should I also use an adhesive? And if I need the latter (and of course, a ladder)...
  14. Furniture Transfers

(Not sure if this is actually considered a label or decal, but this seemed like the closest forum subject to post this)... Is anyone here familiar with pressure-sensitive transfers / decor transfers used for furniture restoration / decoration? (e.g. ReDesign with Prima). I'm not entirely sure...
  15. Just an observation...

Welcome to Earth, my extra-terrestrial friend! Do you not find similar activity on your home planet? :D
  16. Discussion Think Tank for sign makers. I wonder if there might be any interest. I am open for discussion.

Years ago, I had a program on my old Amiga 1000 computer called "Racter". It was supposed to be some sort of early A.I. computer therapist type of thing (there was also an older one called "Eliza"). Anyway, the odd back-and-forth of Racter came to mind after reading the back-and-forth here...
  17. Do you like your PC monitor?

Jumping onto this thread a little late, but just had this experience with upgrading to a 32" Samsung Curved 4K monitor. I hated the curve for graphics work. I hated the curve for spreadsheets. I hated the curve for anything that wasn't a video or video-like. I hated that lines / boxes / etc...
