  1. FB700 question

I'm not an operator of our machine, but I don't see why it couldn't be done as long as you can set your print size large enough. I mean, you can print to the edge of boards, so why not boards layed edge to edge? Have to say, not super impressed with the reliability of our 700. I know I have...
  2. Plastic shopping bags?

Not totally sure on qty, we did steer our client to Uline as well as some packaging vendors we lifted out of an old Global shop directory. I think we're covered, but thanks for the advice.
  3. Anyone have trouble contacting Merritt?

Can't say I've ever done business with Merritt, but I have learned some valuable advice from Mike in various threads. That on top of being as busy as ya are....Way to handle it like a pro, nicely done.
  4. Beachfront house sign before and after...

    Oh no he did-ent....Snap!
  5. Plastic shopping bags?

Just curious if anyone knows where to get these printed. Looking for some pretty good sized ones, like you might find at crate and barrell or similar dept stores?
  6. Join points in Illustrator?

    this
  7. Join points in Illustrator?

Yeah, select 2 open points (with hollow arrow tool) and hit "command-J" (on a mac) or it's located under object/path/join
  8. Beachfront house sign before and after...

Not a huge fan of the design either, It's too slick, and the colors a little drab. I definitely would have tried to sell them on more natural materials. Sure, it won't last 1000 years, but many beach houses have that comfortable, weathered, lived in look anyway. Execution is great though.
  9. Removable wall decals

Another vote for phototex, though it's not totally blockout. If the wall is dark, it might not cover completely.
  10. Harvest full On

good for you mosh. glad to know you are lucky enough to not have lost everything nor any loved ones, like many of your neighbors or the "crybabies" of Katrina you so lovingly referred to a while ago.
  11. What will it print on???

i dont think so. i have a feeling the new version of the l25500 will feature similar inks to the lx850. (same as what we upgraded to.)
  12. What will it print on???

clings and thin plastic substrates are tough on our lx800, gotta get the heat/cure just right. thin banners are tough too, especially double sided but that was before we switched to the new inks.
  13. This guy is amazing!!

    I mean....wow. So good.
  14. Advantage Sign Supply = INCREDIBLE!

    Agreed, that's great service!
  15. So, I just bought a Flatbed Printer....

Wow, never heard of that machine, must be expensive! Don't have to share if don't wanna, but curious to know how much. What about service? Are techs gonna need to fly in? Or do you have local support?
  16. 100% Apple Computer based sign shop, Anything i need to know?

Not sure about extending the ports on your computer, a google search should answer that for you really quick but wanted to metnion If we hadn't started our rip stations with onyx initially, we would be a 100% mac shop. (we recently switched to caldera and already had some powerful PCs that ran...
  17. Hey Fred........................

I, for one, have to say, I hate it bad grammar alot to. Those ones mentioned up there are just the start. Here is hoping they do a whole 360 degree turn and learn from there mistakes.
  18. Best employee gripe so far...

Dude got on the Magic Bus and just kept riding it eh? I actually find people like this kinda entertaining. Not as hires of course! Does it make me a bad person that I feel better about myself after reading or hearing stuff like this?
  19. newbie, flatbed maintenance question

I would assume you want white in your flatbed, that said I might stay away from Agfas as I hear the white constantly plugs up. We have an HP FB 700 and like sign maniac said, it too has a consistent clean/purge cycle. Pretty new machines though so I doubt you'll find a used one. The smaller...
  20. Watch out for these guys

Addie, you will lose a lot of business if you continue with this "if it's customer supplied art I aint touching it" approach. All the more reason to strive for getting a designer on board. How is that going btw?
