Went to a show a couple weeks ago and looked a a LOT of them. Our takeaway was to get a Laguna for our next machine. We currently have a Vision 4x8 and want a more reliable larger machine.

They are not disposable OR cheap to replace; it is one large head with all of those channels/nozzles, so when you lose just a few nozzles it's toast. But - "you can do it yourself", lol. Get ready to go through expensive heads. They're also ONLY available in this configuration, not the dual CMYK...

Yeah, we ran into this recently with a big run of busses. Printed about 20 rolls of partial bus wraps out this way, expecting everything to be fine... until they got to the cutters, and then production had to hand cut every piece... They were not happy.

Look into Outwater Products also. They sell some real nice systems. MBS is a good company also though, buy a LOT of standoffs etc from them. We usually make an install template/paint mask for the hole patterns we have the installers drill.

Don't do it. Just get some cheap white vinyl and print to it, then mount it to the magnet with a laminator. You'll potentially burn out your motor on your printer pulling the laminate.

Our installers have to torch the coating off sometimes with coatings like this.

Honestly, the photo provided, looks like a white decal overlaid onto the fluorescent below.

Our issues were with the S70, and after Epson just said "sorry, non-cmyk inks are not warranted" we decided to never get non-cmyk ink printers again. Have not missed the extra inks any at all and we print a LOT of stuff.

Check out your capping station to be sure that the seal is good and that it is seated correctly. You're a good bit away from them, but call Nick at Trigon Imaging in Cincinnati, and see if they can help you figure out the issue over the phone. If not, they can fix any problem on these for a...

Never used that printer, but when we needed to print specialty inks on our previous printers with Onyx in similar situations the important thing to remember was to have the area defined as a spot color, and all parts of the art set to Overlays. Onyx has to understand what the spot color name is...

I had some knock off of Edwardian installed so the R was different. I installed the correct Edwardian and everything was good.

I just went ahead and traced it in vector.

Customer doesn't have artwork, and asked me to source similar images to redesign their wraps. This is for a mobile automotive service van. I have ZERO idea what this graphic is supposed to represent though, so that I can start my search for something similar... Any guesses as to what it is?

Really, most all "premium" and even mid-grade vinyls print about the same on our printers. Only no-name vinyls come out grainy. All others are very smooth as long as you're using good profiles.

Not sure how far you are into Indiana, but if you're decently close to Cincinnati Ohio, give Trigon Imaging a call. They sell and service the above products and could get you going correctly if the kind folks here cannot solve your issues. We currently use Epson printers, Onyx RIP, and Graphtec...

Print on cheap material and then laminate that to roll magnetic stock (without the printable vinyl pre-installed). You'll kill your printers printing on it. That stuff is HEAVY and requires a lot of tension to pull it off the roll.
