I guess for me it was always having the "eye". Like being able to paint a straight line or cut a straight line with knife or scissors. Or seeing center and level. My employee is the same.
Are you asking for reverse channel letters that any channel letter supplier can make or the halo lit house number letters? I have only found manufacturers of those in China, not in the US.
The standard always was the stated size was the unfinished size. Hemming reduced that by 2" each way. (1" for each hem).
That said, you can make a banner that measures 36" after hemming using a 38" roll of material. The backside of the hem doesn't need printing on it, and you can print 37" of a...
My 80600 will start printing exactly where I set the material. It does not run out any leader before starting to print. Maybe you have set it to run out a leader and need to turn it off?
Rather than trying to laminate to solve an ink adhesion problem, you should probably solve the ink adhesion problem. A building is only as good as its foundation, and in this case, the bond of the ink to the panel is the foundation. Same reason why just slapping another wrap over an old...
There's absolutely nothing wrong with cutting around those recesses. The resulting white gap is small and is far less obtrusive and damaging than the vinyl lifting out over time and then breaking and peeling on its own. Even with wrap materials like this it happens.
I guess I have seen instructional videos about putting the heat press DTF onto mugs and figured that's what you were talking about. This is obviously a different technology. I wonder about the longevity of the adhesive to the mug. It wouldn't be difficult to improve on vinyl lettering on a Yeti...
They're not really stickers in the way we think of stickers. The adhesive is a similar (or maybe the same) heat press adhesive that the garment DTF uses. So you have to heat press the sticker onto the coffee mug or whatever else you want to put it on.
I have used DTF for garments. It is superior to print-cut heat press film for sure, and so far (we've been using it a year or so) it is superior to both screenprinted transfers and also actual screenprinting. The detail and color and clarity of the printing is as good as a wide format inkjet...
You can do an installation with less bracing/stringers if you use 1/2" MDO because the face can be a structural member of the installation. But you do have to take into consideration the shop time of prepping the board (especially if you have no painting tools and supplies).
HAS to be painted, front and edges. Best to use oil-based bulletin paint like Ronan. Roll it on with a thin foam roller (after thinning with the appropriate reducer to get the right viscosity) and then brush out smooth with a high quality, soft wet 4" brush. Let dry at least 24 hours until...
