  1. Anyone ever tried Caldera Flow+ ?

Just curious if anyone has tried this software or seen a demo? Seems like it might be a good overall workflow management solution. Am mostly curious how robust the pricing and quoting portions are... We are thinking of going with Caldera for our rips and thought it might integrate well. Thoughts?
  2. Opinons on our logo

I may end up losing the star, seems some folks like it, but most ask "why the star". I think I am a bit too attached to the cool old russian constructivist stuff maybe. Decisions Decisions...
  3. Opinons on our logo

Revised version So, I think this one is close to final, though I may refine and tweak the texture somewhat. We will do a 1 color version and a "clean version" as well for different uses and will probably refine some of the badge style versions shown in post 1 for use on hats, tees etc...but I...
  4. Forum Design Ethics

Joe - Great question. I submit that it would be a matter of simply asking member A if you could use it in your portfolio. Then...hopefully Member A would give you the green light because 1: you took the time to offer them help whether they used it or not...and 2: It might mean free advertising...
  5. I'M RE-BRANDING. Thoughts on new logo?

Just an idear (I posted the above before you adjusted spacing, looks better.) Also...your grunge effect is kind of a rough, random treatment just throwing this out there as something to think about as well.
  6. I'M RE-BRANDING. Thoughts on new logo?

I like the upper top left too. I also think the spacing is just TINY bit too tight. If you let the space between the "L" and "O" be your guide, I would match to that and visually space the rest of the letters a bit more evenly. (for instance the space between "O" and "L" is too tight, open that...
  7. Race Car Design Challenge

    very impressive robby.
  8. New logo

I think if you lost the blue gradient and oval circle thingey (I think it's supposed to indicate a roll?) this would be your strongest offering. I still don't think it's polished enough and other suggestions you shot down are stronger, but the cutoff shield and lines simply weren't working. The...
  9. Opinons on our logo

Thanks for the feedback ya'all....Friday is revisions day. All the comments are appreciated!
  10. Opinons on our logo

Wanted to offer up these logo options for feedback. We are starting a new design/large format printing shop and will hopefully be catering to fairly young, progressive, "hip" clients. The variations are quite subtle and am open to feedback on type, etc. but am looking more for "overall"...
  11. New logo

In my humble opinion, the cut off shield isn't working, nor does it add anything to the concept of the logo. I think you could lose the shield entirely, lose the lines at the bottom, then convert the "surface protection film" to all caps. You'd be close, and it would be SIMPLE! I think the thin...
  12. A few samples

No website yet, we are forming company now and i'm currently working on the company logo, (which I'll probably post later today for feedback) website is next. we're hoping to open mid march or so, but I am so old-school i know nothing about web stuff so will have to hire out coding, programming...
  13. Logo Needs Improvement

Thanks ISign! (note I'm responding to you, not what's his name ;)
  14. A few samples

Thanks guys! Webguru - The work was done for them, so...yes.
  15. Rant about Illustrator

CES020 - try using the direct selection tool, and switching to "outline mode" when you want to make a selection like you illustrated in the dragon drawing. Sometimes it makes it easier. With the direct selection tool, you can either click directly on a shape to select it, and then "shift" and...
  16. Rant about Illustrator

GVP, not sure if you used CS3 or not, but I found when I went to CS4 it was a pretty big jump as to how stuff was selected, working with masks, etc. It seemed to me the biggest change from version to version I had experienced, and I started using it with (version 88 I think?) when you couldn't...
  17. A few samples

Being a Newbie, just wanted to show off a few samples of my design work. I have more that is strictly design related (posters, brochures, logos etc) but I thought this stuff would be more appropriate for a sign based forum. For the Dog supplements banner, I actually designed the logo and...
  18. Real Estate Layouts

Actually YOU started it by calling me a pretentious newbie. I actually wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt. Then I realized how much of a doucheb*g you are. Your mama owns or at least started that company you liar, a small bit of digging proves it. Don't worry, I will be posting work...
  19. Real Estate Layouts

Edit: Addie...wanna come clean here? Wanna stand by your "I have NO RELATION" to this company statement? I edited my earlier post to give you a chance...tell the truth now.
