  1. Epson discontinuing rewards program

Im in the same boat, with the points expiring in a year after you enter them there is no way to get enough point to redeem for anything unless you are going through 5-10 cartridges a week. It's almost like it was designed to be pointless....
  2. Direct Color Systems DCS 1800 BG - Clear ink looks yellow/brown

I'm curious, how long does it take to print the braille? We use the raster method and I always assumed the printed braille was a very slow process. Also how is adhesion? Can the beads be picked off easily?
  3. Direct Color Systems DCS 1800 BG - Clear ink looks yellow/brown

if the background is white, can you not print the braille the same shade of white for a "clear" look?
  4. Question Something about the Riot makes no sense to me

What does this picture prove exactly?
  5. The Vaccine - you going to take it or no?

I'm confused, you got the vaccine, then caught covid, but it was really mild and no worse than a cold, so you're saying the vaccine is doing exactly what its supposed to do, that's good news!

Glad to hear it all worked out! keep the optics clean and in alignment and that machine will serve you well for years!

  8. Epilog MiniHelix 35w Laser problems

Something is up, we don't run Epilogs, but a 35 watt machine should have no issue cutting or engraving acrylic, a 4"x4" square should cut in about 20 seconds or less, and you should be able to engrave to a depth of about 0.5mm in 1 pass no problem. For the laser not engraving uniformly across...
  9. Protesters swarm to Capitol, halt session on Biden victory

Quick everyone pick a side, throw common sense out the window!
  10. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

This vendor has a 10mm thick stainless steel rod system, so I think it would hold up fine outdoors as long as you can secure it to the ceiling well enough.
  11. Hardware Vendor - Overhead Sign

https://mustang-standoffs.com/rod-systems.html These guys are in canada, but I'm sure there is an equivalent in the states.
  12. Question Corel Draw Question

We are running Corel 2018 on all 4 of our PC's with very few issues. Oddly enough 1 of the computers that run our laser engraver has issues with importing .dwg and some .pdf files that the other computers have no issues with, all are running the same version of Corel 2018, still havn't figured...

  14. Need Help Ice damage on new graphics - how to stop from happening again

That's the strangest thing i've seen in a while! and that's coming from someone who lives where ice storms are normal. Your materials look good, you are using high quality films, but I'm guessing they won't help you as an ice storm would be an act of god. how sure are you that your client is...
  15. Nix Pro sensor

I had one back in 2015 or 2016, I returned it, I found it didn't work for my work flow. It matched to avery, 3m, oracal and arlon cut vinyl colours, but was useless on printed graphics as it would only tell you lab, cmyk or rgb values which are useless to match with.
  16. i got a new toy & a new project, all in one!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the bombsite works on the gerber envision plotters because the sprocket feed on the vinyl eliminates any left/right drift, so you only need to worry about 1 dimension, this is not the case when cutting prints applied to a sheet. I would think you would be better...
  17. i got a new toy & a new project, all in one!

Cool! Does your router have a camera or some way of reading crop marks to know where to cut? Or are you just going to set the home position and hope for the best?
  18. Question what kind of metal shear should we buy?

Most of the plates in the awards industry are around 3"x1" and a large shear is pretty useless for this. The edges all need to be nice and burr free.
  19. Question what kind of metal shear should we buy?

As someone in the awards and engraving industry as well, get the accucutter, when we started we went through cheap shears like underwear, they suck and cutting small pieces square or straight. The accucutter has a built in hold down that works great, ours gets used all the time to cut...
