Ugh don't get me started on machine companies using USB connections, it's a horrible idea! it means you need to have your PC basically right beside the machine, which doesn;t always work, just use ethernet and call it a day.
  2. F1612 communication issue

Hey Pat: it's happened about 5 or 6 times in the last month, it's only ever happened with kiss and through cutting decals so it's the same tools being used. We upgraded GoProduce to 2.0, upgraded firmware and Axis Control are all current, we still have F-Performance disabled. The tech from...

Our F1612 is about 6 months old and we've been having issues with the machine giving us an error of "device read failure" in the middle of cutting some jobs (but not all) what happens is the machine finishes cutting its segment, advances the media then just freezes and does not continue on to...
  4. interessing appliation table

In the video it shows the roller being moved by a tiny little belt, I'm not sure how long that would last, I know some vinyls release off the backer liner better than others, but we have some that need considerable effort the roll the roller forward when mounting, Hexis is the worst for this...

  6. interessing appliation table

I agree even our rolls roller basic model looks like a sherman tank compared to that. I would be worried about it bowing in the middle over time. I do like the motorized roller though, that is a cool add on and would be very useful.

  11. Vinyl Posters Cold Weather Install on Windows

I just installed some large vinyl prints on glass windows, i used the Drytac "Polar premium" with removable adhesive, it's rated for down to -20 c and it went up better than I could have hoped, it didn't feel brittle at all at -5 c.

  15. Any opinions for affordable car wraps?

a little more info is needed, are you wrapping the whole car, or just partial stuff? If you are wrapping the whole car, any savings you make from switching to a calendared film you will loose in added install labour for both the install and removal.
