the "cheapest" printhead we have tried is from https://us.digiprint-supplies.com/en
so far they are about 75% success rate on a print head being quality
We try to use Modified Acrylic "white" 7328 to help with the washout.
we also add white vinyl on the 2nd surface if needed, especially if the cabinet is too bright or an LED retrofit
We like 3/4" or 1" 40 PVC or 80 PVC (depending on the span) 80 PVC is a thicker wall (More Rigid)
instead of 1 LONG piece, we use INLINE COUPLERS so we can make whatever is needed and also collapse whenever needed
To keep the pipe centered, we will have the pipe stick out of the pole pocket...
We edge cut perf and then use optically clear lamination to edge wrap and also seal

We are seeing this more often with newer glass or glass that has been treated, rain-x or a like coating
We edge wrap with optically clear lamination strips, or we use an edge seal pen
strongly advise having the air compressor in a closet or other area and run an airline to the press.
even the "quiet" ones will get on your nerves after constantly
I personally use a new thin snap-off blade extended fully, flex it so the blade lays flat on the table, and go over the needed areas
Another staffer here uses 80 grit sanding block
and another staff used a hand wood planer
Unless you are doing a full wrap, you will have to contour the flag & stars.
It will be a total PITA to try and match the "black" background so the printed vinyl looks the same as the vehicle, both color, and shine
The text and shield are an overlay to ensure proper alignment.
NOTE: the shield...
pretty much............
currently working on a sign for business hours, edit # 9 is the latest version
We would like to see a different shade of black for the hours.........
