Adding a rush fee was the best thing we ever did for our shop.
You wont make it rich, or even make a noticeable amount of money off of it... but as a byproduct of it... most peoples jobs that were rush, end up not being a rush anymore because people are cheap.
We had one guy who was piss poor...
It's been a few years since I checked... but I was told China doesnt have any cast vinyl facilities, they only make calendared.
I bought a roll of chinese carbon fiber to play with - It was so flimsy and brittle. I wrapped a helmet with it, and I wrapped a helmet with 3M Carbon... And the...
Ordering from China is easy.
Ask your chinese vendor to give you pricing with DDP. DDP is delivered duty paid.
They do all the customs and tax information for you... And will ship it to your door, vs having to pickup at the port.
DDP shipping is going to be a lot more expensive...
It takes about 3 hours a roll on high quality - I print everything on 9 pass... so about 4, but you can do 6 pass with decent everything if you tweak the profiles and color calibrate the machine, then its 3 - , the default profiles suck below 9P though, reds are orange...everything looks muddy...
ah, On the graphtec you have 3 "pressure settings" for the pinch rollers - Light, Medium and strong. Light will just barelly touch the media... but you can move it around, medium will put a little bit of pressure on it - strong will push it down so much you can't move the media if you tried...
Curious... why does adding more pinch rollers decrease your cut width?
Can you not move them to the side / out of the way so that theyre not in use like on a graphtec?
We just got a F1612 (Awaiting delivery). I was thinking of ditching the graphtec and getting an S3 if the F1612s workflow...
I don't mind the outside so much... I originally wanted to get one. But you can't see outside if your bed cover is closed... It's just not well thought out / designed. The whole digital rear view mirror is causing problems for lots of emergency vehicles... this is the first result I found...
How to make an ugly truck even uglier....
The photo resolution looks crisp and clear! Not sure I'd drive around with anyone on my vehicle though... Especially with no message, just a photo.
I do like the bottom part of the article... "while its unclear if trump actually accepted the...
A 30 lb box with the same dimensions doesn't cost much more than a 50 lb box with the same dimensions... Most carriers cube the box size as the weight doesn't matter too much. So guestimate it..and add your margin to it.
We used to do a 25% from DHL - then we found another company that was...
I use a Razer naga from 2010 era - The new Naga is larger... And the buttons for forward / Backward changed.
My naga broke about 5 years ago... thats when I figured out the new one was different. It hurts my wrist to use it... And I tried like 5 different mice / brands and I just couldn't find...
Flip it over and trim that way.
The easiest way is to cut it down from sheet size after its mounted. Cutting a MM or two off causes tear out because the foam can move freely... If you're cutting a quarter of an inch in, theres no tear out. You can also cut at a slight angle, And it'll prevent...
Why don't you tell us what you charged, so we can see where you're at?
And it doesn't matter if we like the design or not, All that matters is if the customer likes it.
I've put out some of the worst shit I've ever seen... Couldn't talk the customer out of it. They loved the end product...
I agree... All too low.
20. Ft vinyl minimum to print that - so 85 sqft of vinyl.... Even at $5 a sqft that'd be $500.
You have "design" if you could call it that, all the weeding, installing... Aligning a dozen or so pieces of cut vinyl, vinyl materials ... Should be closer to 1k minimum.... I...
In onyx, when tiling tell it to tile to individual files... Then for a 24 ft print it'll give you a bunch of individual 24 ft panels, in which case you can send them 1 by 1... Or all at once.
Personally I'd set it to auto print, then it'll print 1 tile at a time... And if you have a power...
3m can and will make customized products, we do it with them all the time.
You'd probably need to buy 30-50 rolls at a time though.... And it's not as cheap as off the shelf products, as well it can take up to a month to produce.
Try to find an off the shelf product that works.... If you...
If it's engineer grade.... 45 degree.
If it's diamond / egp.... You need a special blade and blade holder, it's not as simple as changing the knife degree.
https://www.graphteccorp.com/cutting/supply/ here's a list of all the blades and what they're good for, if you're using a graphtec.
Depends on your ACM.
Every brand has different thickness's for the skin - the brand we use has a thicker front skin then back.... The thinner aluminum bends easier and doesn't crack as easy, can do a 90 no problem with it.
Now if you try to bend it with the plastic still in the center it'll...
You don't need a break to bend it as it's really thin. You can just route the back/ core out, then just put the sign flat on its face on a table... Lift up and push and it'll give a nice 90 degree bend.
It's better if you route out an inch or so and do it that way, bend it twice and wrap it...
