It seemed to help my computer somewhat, but it had good & bad days before this....
The other computer running the exact same setup is still lagging a lot with no change, so it might not have helped.
Also, there are SOME files on your local computer that are. prm files that you do not want to...
Do you have an example of the flex led you're looking for?
With LED lighting we normally use SuperBrightLEDs.com or NeonEngineering.com for products.
Grimco also has some nice power supplies, but their selection otherwise is mainly for cabinet signs.
We've had the ambient temperature hotter than what is set in the control panel for heating, and a Mimaki printer be upset that the temperature is too hot. Normally it would let you just proceed after confirmation but we would have to increase the heater settings to make it auto-start printing...
I just deleted 15,000 .PRM files spanning the last 29 years! We keep everything on a server so the files aren't local.
I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've imported an image into Omega so I'm betting it isn't that.
I'll report back if the mass-deletion helps!
We use the newest version of Onyx and keep it current with a contract.
If you upgrade, be sure your machines have profiles available. With the newest Onyx one of our older Mimaki plotters is no longer supported.
We are developing new software for our business and this problem is definitely going to be included in the build.
No shows create a real problem in a busy shop.
We will be sending confirmation emails on their install appointments, and if they don't confirm the install it'll get moved back.
You need to work this problem out backwards.
Get someone in there to create a good custom color profile for your machine & Onyx.
That way every time you print you get the same nice colors.
A lot of the canned profiles can be way off, a couple hours spent on a tech to profile it is well worth...
FWIW, there are regular wraps, and then there are "seamless wraps". Setting up a wrap to print "seamlessly" takes more time to setup and material to print; if they're expecting it to be seamless, then they should be paying more. Seaming along the door pillars are common areas if they're wanting...
Anyone else experiencing lagging in Gerber Omega recently?
We are running Windows 10pro and running Gerber Omega 6.5 and for the last couple of months it has been running really slowly some days.
I notice it mostly when sending to Omega Plot, or actually sending it to plot.
Everything else is...
We use ProVehicleOutlines and their templates are pretty good.
It's kinda pricey at a yearly rate, but we download multiple templates per day so it averages out VERY cheap per vehicle overall.
I've been using it for around 15 years now with only a few oddball templates ever giving me issues...
Yes, if you're not charging rush fees and you don't have minimum order pricing you're not doing it right. It's those piddly little jobs that eat your time, and most of the time once the client hears of the rush fee the project isn't as much of a rush anymore.
One thing not mentioned here yet is the little springs that hold down the bailing arms. They can weaken over time and those don't apply enough pressure.
We store our "ready to install" jobs in the heavy duty cardboard tubes that banners come in. (cut in half). We also have a couple larger shelving units that we custom built to store flat graphics in that area.
