Can you locate a 36" roll of cast laminate? I know we have a couple here still but haven't ordered any more recently as we can no longer reliably get 36" rolls of 180c. That would be a lot easier to cut down and cheaper than a 60".

If I was you, I would stick with the phototex. It works, just be careful weeding it. We have tried some alternatives in the past, and they all ended up failing.

Onyx tries to keep on top of bug fixes, so if you're not running the newest version I would suggest upgrading. Also, some times files just rip wrong, try dropping those same exact files back in and see if they produce the exact same results again. Lastly, sometimes PDFs have issues, try opening...

We recently upgraded to an FC9000 and it is so awesome we added another 3 months later. Cuts a whole roll of different cuts without stopping running barcodes, and can cut any length of a single print/cut file accurately with segmented marks.

I recommend the GFP line of laminators we have 3 now and would never switch again. We used to have GBC and Seal and they broke, these GFP just keep on trucking. Our favorites are the GFP563th, but the base model is fine also and not all that different.

Sounds like the sensor then. If I remember correctly they're pretty simple to replace.
