Corel has ended voice technical support. That is disappointing to me. I abhor "chatting" as I cannot type fast due to athritic fingers.

But if you stay two versions behind you run into troulble trying to import files from the latest versions of Illustrator and AutoCAD.

Why pay for a plug in when you can alredy draw in different scales in a Corel drawing ? I simply break apart dimensions after making them, effetively turning of dynamic dimensioning.

I agree. It is not a Corel issue. It shouodl be adressed by Adobe, who created the PDF format to begin with.

Attached is a PDF lesson I made that shows how to make glowing neon in Corel Draw without using drop shadow bitmaps. My method even allows part of the drawing to be used as a full scale neon pen pattern. It is scaleable to any size to fit any drawing scale, or even full size

I do it all with vectors. I do not like bitmaps. I just make a vector, make it 15mm to scale, convert it to an object. Then I paste the vector over and over again at different pen strike witdhts and different colors. I use the neon object as a pattern by scaling it and then the production artist...

This is an ongoing problem that Corel has to address. Hopefully it will be a free patch file.

I paid the $199 just to get a Corel program that would not crash on drag and drop. I consider it to be an expensive patch file.

I wish they would sell FontEye separately for less money.

I need a program that will take a bitmap scan of a copy string and that will identify the font from your library. I had one a few years ago but I cannot remember the name of the program.

I had the same problems with X8. I paid for and downloaded the "patch file" wich is Corel Draw 2017. Problem solved.

Have your designer make a precise drawing with the required spacing, or be very careful to follow the track manufacturer's spacing guide to make sure that the letters fit properly, this is very important. I have been using gnomons for years. A "T" shaped device that has white and red inch blocks of vinyl. Works like a charm.

I got the problem resolved by purchasing the Corel Draw 2017 upgrade for $199. It runs just fine. In x8 it would crash with a new drawing. Simply typing a text string, then dragging and dropping on the same page would result in a crash.

They are much easier to see as the node boxes and arrows are white with a black outline. They are much easier to see on the screen .

I network with designers. I know a young artist that specializes in wall murals. I have designed vehicle wraps in the past but I usually abhor this type of work due to the huge size of the files. I have limited bandwidth.

The glow effect can be done by contouring out in Corel.

Looks to me like it was done in Corel Draw. The font was contoured in.Then the contour was broken from the font so it became one combined object. Then a flame bitmap was powerclipped in. I am not sure if Illustrator can do this. But. Corel is much faster than illy anyways.
