At the prices you are paying, I wouldn't be rushing into buying a printer, save yourself the headache of printer maintenance (especially with an older machine) and keep outsourcing. Unless deadlines or quality are a concern.

Have you looked into somewhere like signs365? they run huge volumes and cane print, laminate & cut for pretty much your cost in materials, and they have very fast turnarounds

have you set up condition 8 to use the tool position 3?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but every UV print I've gotten from a supplier had a very distinct smell to it that never really goes away, I can't see how you could use that for wall graphics. Do the newer UV printers not have the same issue? I ordered a 20'x10' banner from 4over that was UV printed...

I agree, lind sign spring is the perfect solution, very easy for the client to install themselves, and it keeps the banner perfectly tight. As far as regulations go, don't worry about it, that's the clients responsibility, you just sold him a banner, what he does with it is up to him.

Have you looked into automatically, it's a 2.4 mil calendered vinyl meant for simple wraps. If you want to stick with Arlon, the 4600lx might do the trick when paired with a cast laminate. With racecars, price is the only concern, graphics usually don't last more than a few races anyway, so...

The latex machine is no longer supported by HP, which means finding inks and print heads is going to be very difficult in the near future. The generation of Epson machines you are looking at don't have the best reputation, the newer ones are awesome machines, but the older ones, not so much...
