  1. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

the 315, I've really tried with this HP it just doesn't print consistently.
  2. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

All m jobs are matte finish, my shop is very clean no wood or metal fabrication just graphics no dust kicking up. We also don't laminate. I mostly am concerned about long runs for wallpapers that can be 12 feet high by 50 feet long. Want to avoid color shifting and banding mid job.
  3. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

Can you expand on this? I am about to purchase this machine so curious how different it is, as this review seems pretty dismal.
  4. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

Not yet, replies making me think the HP problems are perhaps ones of my own doing. Back to drawing board of profiling and optimizing printer. Got some great people on here offering to help via phone. I am leaning towards the Roland though. Its such simple looking machine,
  5. Review of the Roland LG-640

Is this machine similar to the Roland mg64 ?
  6. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

The HP 315 has put me through my paces. It's just so unreliable. Maybe cause I don't print that often? But I really never know what I am going to get. Rarely do I print something without part or all of it needing to be redone or worse outsoourced. I mainly want something reliable and better...
  7. I AM BUYING THIS MACHINE TOMORROW UNLESS YOU TELL ME OTHERWISE...... Roland UV mG640

I have decided after many failures with my HP to upgrade to a Roland UV specifically this one in link. Any feedback, advice, pitfalls to avoid or harsh warnings welcome. It hits all the marks for my shop, better color, scratch resistant, size, simplicity, speed, power needs, venting is ok etc...
  8. Another mid tone goes pink in the HP 315 and its eve of destruction, the advent of the 700.

I have not tried that yet, my workaround has been to up the cyan and yellow, that seems to do away with the pink sometimes.
  9. Another mid tone goes pink in the HP 315 and its eve of destruction, the advent of the 700.

does that mean getting a HP 700 series would not solve this issue? I am about to pull trigger on that cause I just cant print with confidence and without the spectrometer I definitely can not make my own profiles.
  10. Another mid tone goes pink in the HP 315 and its eve of destruction, the advent of the 700.

I have officially had it with my HP 315. Anything mid tone, CMYK black and white, or sepia just does not print right. It's usually pink, pink pink freaking pink. I could make valentines day cards forever with the amount of pink I have to toss. I have tried everything too, it's not the heads or...
  11. Latex Printer in apartment?

I operated my 315 out of a closet in an art classroom, without ventilation. IT got steamy at times (literally steam billowing out the machine) because it did not have anywhere to vent. Loading it will be a pain in the ass too. Plus you will also need a table at least 60" wide to trim your cuts...
  12. HP latex 700w: bad printer, bad support, advice needed. How did you return/replace your HP 700/800?

Can you share the links for the other bad reviews? I am thinking of getting this machine, as my 315 is awful, just awful at mid tones. Did you experience any pinks or greens on mid tones or CMYL black and white prints?
  13. Onyx question: what trim markings work when you have a tiled job with no contrast?

But then those lines will be part of the image. Also how would I navigate the overlap around that?
  14. Onyx question: what trim markings work when you have a tiled job with no contrast?

I tried this method, every which way but the marks are really weird. I don't even know what to make of them. SEE PICS THE THICK BLACK LINE IS A TEST GRAPHIC). I need a solid line around the entire tile, not crop marks and definitely not marks within the print area. Getting desperate here...
  15. Onyx question: what trim markings work when you have a tiled job with no contrast?

I watched it, but the tile marks they provide are printed in the overlap areas, so installer has to line up the tiles over these lines, where an image with contrast you just line up the image? I am confused a little, but I think I get it, gonna try a small test
  16. Onyx question: what trim markings work when you have a tiled job with no contrast?

yes manually, is it possible to cut these another way with registration marks like for print and cut stickers?
  17. Onyx question: what trim markings work when you have a tiled job with no contrast?

I am printing a job that is mostly white with texts in the middle of each tile, (not printing white the white of the material). Being that the tiles are material white, what is the best marking system for trimming them so no marks are left in the overlaps etc.. pic attached Printer HP315...
  18. Weird Cutting issue on my GRAPHTEC. What the heck is this????

my Graphtec being cranky cutting lines off level, see pics not even sure how to describe this. Material? pinch rollers? machine old?
  19. HP latex 700w: bad printer, bad support, advice needed. How did you return/replace your HP 700/800?

I am in the process of considering this printer for my shop. This thread is making me think twice.
