  1. General Formulations...

I just bought a bundle of the GF 230 and it works well. I don't really do wraps but like to offer customers a better product than just regular 3ml with 3ml laminate for certain jobs. As was said the supply chain for 2ml products is horrible so I thought I would try it. The only thing I was not...
  2. the dreaded double cut

Yes, I have tried everything but it appears to be a single line. I zoomed in as close as possible and switched to nodes and there is just one shape. I know the original file was an eps that came from illustrator. I have never seen something like this before.
  3. the dreaded double cut

In Flexi? where is this option?
  4. the dreaded double cut

I wish there was something in the software to alert you to this strange phenomenon. I ran a print cut job today where I had a lot of unused vinyl so decided to nest a bunch of other print cut items in the space. When I went to cut them it cut the main graphic that I needed once and then cut...
  5. Question Mimaki Print Issue - Help Please

I had a similar issue with my Mimaki about a year ago after printing on scrim banner material. Turns out that on the far right side of the print carriage there are these 3 clips that hang down...this is where debris got stuck and hung down low enough to cause the smears. I now routinely check...

  7. 40 year old spec... what exactly is Royal Blue?

I always appreciate your help Gino, don't get me wrong, but then you go and add the comment that everyone should know what Royal Blue is... No not everyone. I originally figured it would be close to a saphire blue but just wanted the forum input as I checked online and started seeing huge...
  8. 40 year old spec... what exactly is Royal Blue?

If you remove the old crust on Gino, there won't be anything left of him :)
  9. 40 year old spec... what exactly is Royal Blue?

I have to do a temporary construction sign and this ancient spec says sign to be "Painted" with Royal Blue lettering. 3/4" plywood too, for a 3 week project. Any Idea what pantone number corresponds with Royal Blue?

  12. Does Flexi have the ability to export or create pdf files?

I run into issues with this software. I have a file that is rather large and was originally a pdf file made from a combo of bitmap and vector graphics. I want to send a proof to the customer but can't find a pdf option. Does it exist? If not what is the best way to save the file so that it is...
  13. Accidently over wrote a Flexi file!!

I have off site backups so it was not the end of the world, but it was probably one of the most important files...A colour chart I use daily to match pantone colours. Usually I import the new file then import the colour chart, this particular time I reversed the method and never doing that...
  14. Accidently over wrote a Flexi file!!

Is there any way to get it back? This is the one thing I don't like about this software..at least give me a warning screen, like are you sure you want to overwrite the file?. I know in Signlab it creates a backup file that you can change to a cdl file and like magic the original file is back
  15. If you forget the premask

I suppose if you soak the %&$% out of it after application it would come off OK
  16. Blade depth changing during cutting.

Maybe you should just go to one cut and cut them up manually as I don't think the d-140 was designed to to what your doing

  19. Who remembers the Gerber 4b?

If your just cutting a circle why not just use the 4b by itself? I remember those days...set up 3 lines of copy with the little red LED readout, start it, go out get a coffee, drink it come back and it was almost finished!!! lol
