I just hate their phone system...

Can't say that I have ever experienced the actual blade depth turning on it's own. I was going to say that possibly one side of the blade is worn heavier than the other or the tip is snapped off but the blade holder turning on its own is freaky

I have seen this happen but thankfully I have had no real failures that I know of

I tried a test and instead of sending a file out as an eps file I sent it as a pdf file as it was originally and all the colours are perfect...strange indeed.

this plotter unlike every other plotter I have used for 30 years will not just simply allow you to remove the holder and put a new one in...you have to unscrew the holder to release it from the main head and in doing so I think you are retracting the blade all the way before the actual holder...

update on the new Summa. I have not really played around with the blade holder but the other day it just seems to be cutting to deep and I looked under the blade holder to see how far the blade was out.. Almost an 1/8" which is way to far. Tried unscrewing the blade holder and it turned about...

I had a technical guy show me in Flexi... There are 2 places where you can set these preferences..why? I have no idea. One is in production manager where I knew to go but the one that overides everything is in the rip and print menu...it looks identical so I am not sure what the other one is...

It seems to me I have to save everything on the screen and I don't want to do that. Is there a different function to do that?

you cant lift the strip and rotate it as it is basically a thin piece of whatever they are calling teflon with adhesive that seperates from the strip. I think that the seperation of the adhesive is actually why they wear out so fast. Even new strips the adhesive just does not want to stay on.
