The image was real faint and not crisp. The paper soaked up a huge amount of ink. It is exactly what the broker wanted. I did get a little different results with printing with different resolutions and profiles and it helped a little bit.

The grain direction is how the fibers in the paper run in the sheet or roll. It makes a huge difference in offset, digital printing as well as doing finishing the printed product (folding and scoring.) Try feeding the material using a different edge.

I have customers that come in with their own poster that need to be mounted. I use an optically clear mounting adhesive with a cold laminater. I went away from spray mount due to the mess. I have also used a varnish before and had decent results.

This is what I use.
https://olfa.com/professional/product/auto-lock-utility-knife-with-blade-snapper-a-1/ ,with a metal ruler for a straight edge. Just make sure the blade is sharp and I make the cut in 2 passes and they come out great.
