  1. For Sh!ts & Giggles.....................................................................

Some people welcome the calls and have made a pile of money suing the companies that make them. So far my phone has been doing a decent job of intercepting them. If it gets crazy I'll just set it to accept calls from my family and client list.
  2. Graphtec Flexi Cloud Perf Cut

Thanks for the tip. Hmmm...if I do that will it know where the blade is or do I have to set that up in a different "condition"? e.g. Normal kiss cut the blade is in position 1(farthest back) and the setting is Condition 1". If I kiss and through cut over the channel wouldn't I need to adjust...
  3. General Formulations GF830 Automark vs Arlon SLX+

Hmmm...too soon to tell for us. Most of the stuff that gets removed has been wrecked so the body shop removes it. I'll ask (if I remember) the next time I'm making replacement panels.
  4. Best printer for murals

On this forum I think you'll find the Epson in the lead. Seems to have been a lot of issues with Roland. Maybe Roland got them fixed but I have no way of knowing. Either way do a forum search. Best bet is to make up a brutal file with Memory colors(personal photos work great for this)...
  5. Show me your rack!

Some things ya just can't unsee.
  6. Work flow for printing movie poster sized art, desperately need mentoring!

Let's back up a minute. Need more information. What is your core business? This will define printer requirements along with ancillary equipment or if it's even feasible. Reproductions? You'll need a drum or wide format scanner. Fine art? Same as reproductions but you'll have to invest in...
  7. Show me your rack!

    Here ya go.
  8. Graphtec Flexi Cloud Perf Cut

Easy when it's all you've ever known. I've been running Summa's for decades so it's a definite learning curve. I know absolutely nothing about the Graphtec menu or it's operation save for it's orange with black lettering.:D But like anything I do I'll get it dialed then write a detailed to...
  9. Best printer for murals

You'll notice eco solvent odor. I exhaust mine outside allowing me to print all day with very little ink smell. Never had clients complain about odor even on unlaminated prints. Once the VOC's are flashed the print is pretty much odorless.
  10. A sign related food subject......................................................................................

Ooooh, that's nice. I have a rotisserie or two somewhere and a Weber kettle by the mini barn. Haven't used the Weber since I got the Akorn though.
  11. Show me your rack!

In the print lab it's industrial pallet rack. In my shop it's a 6" wide piece of plywood sticking out from the wall with braces underneath. There's a stop on the front to keep media from sliding off. It's worked well for decades, and I don't need or want too much inventory. JIT is the rule.;)
  12. Graphtec Flexi Cloud Perf Cut

Okay, I was trying to avoid going into the menu on the Graphtec to set it up. So easy with my Summa being able to adjust right from Flexi. Makes no sense that Graphtec wouldn't be the same but I'm not a software engineer. Oh well, I'll see what I can get set up. Thanks for the help.
  13. A sign related food subject......................................................................................

Yum, I loves me some fajitas. New plancha was delivered yesterday.(22x16 two burner griddle). Once I get it seasoned making fajitas will be on the "to do" list.
  14. Graphtec Flexi Cloud Perf Cut

I'm trying to help the campus print shop get perf cutting set up on their Graphtec FC9000. Make a shape, select it, click on contour cut, then select the gray PerfCut swatch. Everything is okay until I go to edit the settings in Flexi, but there are no settings to edit in Flexi. Cut menu...
  15. General Formulations GF830 Automark vs Arlon SLX+

Can't help with a comparison but I like the SLX+. Installer is really happy with it as well compared to 6000xrp. He said spots where it took a lot of heat and finesse for the 6000xrp he just works the SLX+ into place and moves on. Prints much better than the 6000 as well.
  16. A sign related food subject......................................................................................

Ya know I agree with you. Kinda like drag racing. You can take all the advice in the world but you still have to run your own program in your lane. I'm developing my own chipotle brown sugar rub and the few cooks I've done with it have turned out great. Low and slow, wrap, rest in the...
  17. Buying a Dimensional Sign Business

Oooooh, sounds nice. We're looking for land to build our retirement barndo with huge shop. Wife gave me that look and said you're going to build a paint booth aren't you? Can't get anything past her anymore...
  18. Landscape Logo input

Looks good Gino. Nice clean visual.
  19. Buying a Dimensional Sign Business

Nice. Please keep posting on your progress. I find it interesting, especially the paint part. What type of booth? Whose paint system? Is there an existing mixing bank and scales?
  20. How to increase sales in 2022!

Can't people leave things alone anymore? You may not like what a candidate stands for but destroying property isn't the way to go about it. Around here the sign is cut into little pieces and left on the ground, stakes ripped out etc... Let's see: criminal trespass, destruction of property and...
