Sorry I don't have any pics, I only found out about this Yesterday. I'll ask my install tech if he has any pics.
  2. 3M 8625 Wall wrap problems

Appreciate the advice. I sent this over to my install tech. Hasn't been a real problem as most of the walls designs we've done have some sort of pattern that easily hides any flaws but now we'll be doing a solid white background and fear that those flaws would be more prevalent. We'll use this...

We've been experiencing some trouble install wall wrap IJ 8625 with 8524 lam. No matter what angle we press the vinyl in as it's heated we get a lot of burnt marks and bubbles. We use the recommended heat setting. Any thoughts?
  4. Using RasterLink6 wondering what format file I should use

The tiff is only for printing. Hopefully you included the registration marks when you sent the tiff? To cut it you'll have to open the corel file, turn off layer one whereby leaving just your cut line. We don't use rasterlink anymore so I can't recall the exact steps.
  5. Using RasterLink6 wondering what format file I should use

X7 here too. 99% of the time we use pdf. Eps from corel X7 is known to be problematic. Especially when gradients are involved. It was a known issue and has since been fixed with the later versions. If a design is made up of all raster images doesn't make sense to me to save as pdf. Those we'll...
  6. AUTOMATION and WORKFLOW

We used to have baskets hung on the walls strung out all over the shop. New jobs here, different basket once proof is set up, another for needs revision, another over there for approved, another back across that way for the print tech, back over here for production. Been using the free Trello...

  10. Need Help VersaWorks 6 Thinks EPS Files are Corrupt

Couple of questions as we use Corel X7 with win7 & 10 and have no issues. I'd quit quit using eps, lol. PDF is best. Do the files use gradients? There's a known issue with X7 and gradients as eps. I can explain if need be. Do you have illustrator? Try opening the file in illy then save as pdf. I...
  11. Fatheads

    :roflmao: Nope, hand cut.
  12. Fatheads

max 24"h x scale. 4mm coro, vertical flutes. Yard sticks from Lowes cut in half then glued to the back.
  13. Color Match

Google search says that code is a GM Paint code for "Dark Ash". I'd set up several color swatches using various shades of gray. Only need about a 3" square. Customer would then have to bring in the vehicle for a color match. Of course this gets charged to the customer too.
  14. Channel Letter measurement tool

Hmmm, after more testing both the macro and the docker have the same results. On the day I took the snapshot things could have very well gone wonky so, yes, I agree trust the docker.
  15. Channel Letter measurement tool

Quite a bit different. Wonder how each are calculated.
  16. Is Everyone Tired Of AI

I rarely go thru a Mcdonald's Drive thru but one day I did and the voice was very crisp and clear, so much that I felt inclined to mention to the girl, who took my money at the window, how pleasant her voice was. She looked at me and chuckled "oh, that's an AI."
  17. Channel Letter measurement tool

Via a macro. Text has to be curves, so either duplicate in place & convert then run the macro or just make a copy and move it then convert & run.
  18. Need input on which kind of Computer is the best to use for Designing.

I see the common denominator here but I won't get into that. SSD, Memory and Graphics card is the key. 32 or above is good. Steer away from AMD graphics cards too. Dump temp files often.
  19. Raster and Vector Image Customer Rant

Just yesterday I received an email with a logo attached. Boss wanted me to verify if it's good or not. 500dpi png! I could tell it was a low res from the start and somebody tried to "upsample" it. Boss passed on the info and asked for a vector file. He sends me their reply with an attachment...
