You would need to find a third party parts supplier like digi-print who has a terrible rep in the community. No reseller unless service authorized can access epson parts to even sell to you. Typically they won't because they obviously want to perform the service...its how they earn a living...

Yes they will bring additional parts. Yes they replace and follow...

I only know of two companies on the east coast that are Epson service authorized. Epson does not have many if any other service authorized dealers. D1 is the national service provider. D1 is more than capable of getting a printer back into spec. What they do not do well is trouble shoot...

verify that the media is loaded straight...increase vacuum. Are you loaded on a tur? if so, let media run free...remove any tension

sorry for coming in late...think of your latex ink as glue...optimizer is component A the ink or colors are component B...when they come in contact a chemical reaction causes them to gel or bond. If you get ink on optimizer heads, they can be ruined...same goes the other way.

check you media profile temps. if too high, pushes media up into the printhead path

avoid carpet!!! Second building, I installed Lifeproof 360 flooring from HD...mold milder resistant, easy clean and looks fresh. It has a padding on bottom and hammers in place.

save yourself the headache...call a local tech to come out. You bought the printer used and should have saved a few bucks. They should have versa works on a thumb drive if they are any good..

what profile dd you use? They have backlit panels and I believe the Epson allows you to printmultii layer or multi strike to beef up density..

a new s40 is only 9k? did you check the total square ft printed from that xc-540? its an old printer? were they using third party inks? no printer in this price range is built to last longer than 5-6 years...they can and do...just not designed for the long haul...

In my experience with flexi, onyx, caldera and versaworks, shiraz...no rip likes .ai files....pdf,eps,jpg,tiff all day long

besides, Roland and Mutoh's do not calculate ink properly...the smart chips on those cartridges are actually dumb...HP is pretty accurate if you use their phone app for the printers...does not work through onyx.
