    sorry for coming in late...think of your latex ink as glue...optimizer is component A the ink or colors are component B...when they come in contact a chemical reaction causes them to gel or bond. If you get ink on optimizer heads, they can be ruined...same goes the other way.

    avoid carpet!!! Second building, I installed Lifeproof 360 flooring from HD...mold milder resistant, easy clean and looks fresh. It has a padding on bottom and hammers in place.

    a new s40 is only 9k? did you check the total square ft printed from that xc-540? its an old printer? were they using third party inks? no printer in this price range is built to last longer than 5-6 years...they can and do...just not designed for the long haul...

    besides, Roland and Mutoh's do not calculate ink properly...the smart chips on those cartridges are actually dumb...HP is pretty accurate if you use their phone app for the printers...does not work through onyx.
