If they say you need 60, then I'd say you need 60. Why try to kill a brand new printer?
Do none of these dealers even consider pre-installation inspections or at the very least discussing operating environments with customers before throwing units in walk in freezers? Geez.
I think the biggest thing will be the media quickly warming up from the heaters, it's likely to buckle and potentially cause head strikes. No idea of the viscosity of the ink at that temperature...but I would imagine it wouldn't be ideal for the heads.
Are you able to add a heater to the...
We have a few random areas for extras/samples etc. I'll take pics next time I'm in the shop. Some architectural/drawing filing cabinets and other different filing cabinets.
Thanks Christian, hadn't dug that deep in quickset advanced settings before.
I've attached a screenshot of our settings - should this be checked then? (It appears this way on all our quicksets for all our printers)
The weird thing is we've been running jobs through this quickset / workflow...
Also very interesting, thanks. I believe we're using a single flute UC bit but I'll have to check. I wish I had time and energy to learn more about routing, it's just been a frustrating "get it done" journey since we got this thing and I find myself cursing it every time we need to...
Interesting. I have no idea but I will check. Where would this be found? Why would someone wish this setting on anyone? (Pardon the drama, been a long, frustrating day)
Count yourself lucky, it's pretty painful to use. It lets us have 10 jobs open at once though, yay! That's 10 files that it can destroy and 10 pieces of material that we can add to the dumpster.
So many bugs it's not even funny. As soon as you've selected your material and spent a few...
Long story short - I've just discovered that files that pass through Onyx/CutServer and are sent to our Summa F1612 / GoProduce are being ruined by adding thousands of nodes where they don't belong.
Am I missing a setting in Onyx that says "please ruin my cut files and turn 4 points into 500"...
What's happening with those studs and spacers? Looks like a bit of a hodge-podge install to me.
Personally I'd sell them a new set of cast aluminum letters from Gemini.
I guess one downside of doing all new is that you'll be left with a bunch of holes everywhere from those studs.
The...
We've done printed/shape cut graphics and grids before, they might accumulate a bit of ink over time but shouldn't be too bad if they clean it properly.
This. We've done both, and it really depends on a lot of factors. I'm a huge fan of dropping smaller 2nd color objects in and masking together, then peeling mask and getting rid of all the bits and pieces. This way when you get to site it's a 1 piece install.
Installing in-house, we'll...
