Incorrect. UV does fade and will do so faster than most solvent inks. I'd say your customer has been misinformed.

We have (1) S60600 in a 2500 sqft shop, and when printing heavy coverage/long runs I can taste the ink in the upstairs office, which is almost completely sealed off from the production area. That's with lots of ceiling fans going and an air scrubber beside the printer.

I'm not near our RIP station but you SHOULD be able to achieve this. Add 10mm "bleed" and set it to white. Add trimlines and set to bleed area or something along those lines. That should work.

We like our Epson S60600. You won't find a straight answer to the question "what is the most popular printer", everyone has their favorites and reasons why. Personally I wouldn't touch HP products with a ten foot pole, but that's just me.
