  1. Pricing

Not sure which products you're looking at but I wouldn't sell our decals as cheap as they have listed there. Be careful matching your pricing to a massive online printer with tons of automation. Edited to add, if you really want to figure out what you should/could be charging, have a gander at...
  2. Can this be done in Omega?

Need to clip the image so it's not going over the vector shapes. Select jpg then shape you want to clip into, then go to Shape / Make Clipping Path. Tried bringing in your PDF but it's coming in all weird.

  4. Self healing Cutting Table life expectancy

We usually use 1/4" thick puckboard on our work tables. Use it for a few months, then flip over. We do have one self healing mat on one bench and it doesn't make that much of a difference as far as I'm concerned. It's been a while since we've ordered any since we added a flatbed cutter and...
  5. Question Can you technically use 2L ink bags on a Canon/Oce Arizona 318gl?

Ah yes, good point. Good to know, thanks.
  6. Question Can you technically use 2L ink bags on a Canon/Oce Arizona 318gl?

Wondering if anyone knows if you can technically use larger ink bags on a 318gl? I know physically the ink tray is designed/intended for 800/1000 ml bags, but is it possible to use bigger ones? This is under the assumption that the larger bags are slightly cheaper than the 800ml ones.... I'm...

  10. Question Alternatives to 3M IJ175 and 8518?

I personally wouldn't touch 3551 or any calendared oracal film, especially not for permanent/vehicle use. We used to use it a bit but it just shrinks too damn much. We strictly use IJ180cv3 for vehicle decals but are testing IJ175 to see how it performs.
  11. Question Alternatives to 3M IJ175 and 8518?

Check out 3M 8418 for the laminate, it's pretty nice stuff. I have no idea about longevity but we just burned through a few rolls of it and it's nice. Couple hundred cheaper than what we were paying for 8518 too.

  17. 2023 wrapup

Sorry to hear. We had something similar happen right when covid hit - took us a couple of years to recover/replace that business. You will miss the money, but not the headaches. Once you get over the loss you'll appreciate replacing that 1 customer @ 50% with 5-10 new customers that are...
  18. 2023 wrapup

I've trying to think of a way to incorporate QR codes and this sounds like a great way to use them! I'm in the same boat. What little processes/systems are documented, are sprinkled all over the place. Google Docs, paper prints, word files, PDF's etc etc. Time to pick one central location...
  19. Best UV Printers for Braille Signs

No, I believe they added a "Touchstone" option on later models that allows you to print 2.5D / textured stuff but not positive if even the new ones can technically print ada compliant graphics.
