I'm looking for a stand alone humidifier for our production/office area. It's an open floor around 850 sqft with 8 ft ceiling. Right now, with our -30 celcius outdoor, our humidity is always around 25% (30% on a good day). I've contacted my local HVAC guy and he quoted me 3800$ including the...
I've spoken with caldera and the M1 chip is supported since version 14 (it's written in the v14 changelog). So I've chosen the 500gb version with 16gb of ram. We will see how it perform.
So we are upgrading our equipment and will have the last version of Caldera. I will run it from a mac mini, but I'm not totally sure that I'm understanding the minimum/suggested requirement on the Caldera website. From my under standing, I could run this with the basic M1 model but upgrade the...
So we just moved to our new place. I need recommendation for lights. In the shop, we currently have 8 ft fluorescent tube and we got a 10ft ceiling. In the production/office area, we only have a couple traditional edison bulbs with a 8ft ceiling. Ideally, I would like to have the best lighting...
I've got a different answer from my rep and the tech. You need to align the substrate perfectly on the bed but they said it's doable. I will double check this tho.
I'm getting rid of my HP L260. To be able to get it out, I need to remove the printer from the stand. I'm not planning to reuse the printer. It's going to a recycling plant. I would like to know what procedure should I do to avoid having ink everywhere, separate the printer from the stand and be...
Thanks for the feedback. The SXC1717 is a 5.5ftX5.5ft table. So there is no problem for rolls up to 64in. It is also the conveyor option, so for roll media, it's not a problem. I will definitely take the 3hp router. There is a considerable price jump between the 5.5x5.5 and 5.5x10.5 table. I'm...
After some research and online demonstration, my choice for my first flatbed cutter is a colex sharpcut sxc1717 with the conveyor. We will mainly use it to cut rolled material (murals and diecut stickers) but will also bring cnc work in-house (aluminum signs, pvc, acrylic, styrene, etc.). I was...
So... There's a new contender in the lot. The Colex SXC1717. The bed is a bit bigger than the Summa F1612, there is more router options and price seems similar. I've red on another post that software wise the summa is ''better'' than colex. Again, I've never had a flatbed cutter, so I'm not even...
FYI, here is an answer I've got from my dealer. He forwarded it to me.
About 6 months ago we did release a revised carriage board which is included on all new machines since 6 months ago.
We are planning to release an upgraded version of our standard Kress router in the future but the release...
I'm getting it from ND. Customer service from Grimco is horrible here. I assume their tech is located in Toronto, but I will check this out. I assume if I buy a new machine, I will have the new board version. I hope so.
Interesting. I assume it will fit on their current table? It would be a...
Our main business is murals. We always suggest a vector file but most of the pictures are taken from shutterstock. We use Topazlbas Gigapixel with their other software to enlarge the pictures. So far, they are the best we use. The only downside is you can scale over 600%.
we do ton of floor decals. You have to use a non-slip laminate. The best we tried so far is Drytac polar grip for the vinyl and Drytac floortex 200 laminate.
Thanks all for the comments/feedback. I'm in Canada and the price variance between the two router option is a bit under 18k$ (8694$ vs 26647$). PHILJOHNSON Thanks for the document. I understand the benefits and variants but does the difference justify the 18k$ différence?
I also have a small...
I'm upgrading all my machines. I currently use Caldera but the dealer I trust more for my next printer sell only Onyx. For aftersale purpose, should I switch to Onyx? I'm used to Caldera, really like it and would prefer stay with it. My concern is if I have a problem, maybe my dealer won't be...
