Calibration/Re-Linearization and the create your own media profile on top of that and then Re-Calibrate/Re-Linearization especially when you need to hit grays.
So you are using both Flexi and Print Factory to print with. I am not surprise that the color doesn't match if your trying to match a color printed with Print Factory when printing with Flexi.
So if you print a PDF from Flexi and open that PDF in Acrobat what Pantone Spot Color shows in Acrobat? If that is correct, the when import that PDF into Print Factory what Spot Color is Print Factory showing? Make sure you are not converting to process color somewhere along the workflow.
It is a contone printer but you can tell your RIP to print pure primaries. I did test Print Factory and it would not print pure primaries even when selected. May be other RIPs that have this fault as well.
But be careful with your RIP linearization as it can knock down you pure colors even with...
Why aren't you using 100% Output Black or is the pure black that you see in the calibration target not good enough? I am sure your RIP (which ever one it is) has the tools to print pure 100% black. I always print my pure black as pure black and use those tools to not colormanage 100% input...
I have the 700W. Before that I had the 12500 and then for about 10 years ran the 360. We didn't run much tiled panels but Ink starvation was a problem with the 360 for some jobs. We just had to recognize when it might be a problem and set the print mode and interpass delay to minimize it.
That depends what your meaning of fix is.
Where it helps with is ink starvation issues and has more nozzles available to use to bypass clogged nozzles.
In general observation I would say yes it is an improvement but the nature of Latex ink is such that there is always going to be some shifting...

Is it possible to read the y-axis registration marks created by Caldera? I can not find any info on how to do this. The HP 700W printing bows just enough in the middle to throw off small cut out stickers but I can not get the FC9000 to read the y-axis marks created by Caldera so I can not...
I can understand using a laminating table for some work, but roll to roll laminator you can do everything with so a table should be your second laminator unless you are so specialized that you would on need the table.
