  1. Epson r5070 - anyone got one?

Thanks for the review, how does it go for speed, I’m guessing your old 560 was quicker?
  2. New F1612, annoying issue with GoProduce Barcode.

We used our 1612 for the first month without the Barcode enabled for various reasons. When we did get it fired up we found it to be a huge time saver and production game changer. The code is scanned and you walk away! I know your current rip doesn’t support Barcodes but at least you’re future...
  3. Tried canon Colorado 1650 max speed for the first time

That’s unreal! Thanks for the video!
  4. Printer advice

Hi Gabriel, Welcome aboard! We have a 800W which we use for wallpaper and glazing film. I can’t fault the print quality with white on clear and frosted films, it’s stunning even if sandwich printing is super slow. There are better options available for wallpaper printing as mentioned above. Cheers
  5. Best shop set up for large print runs?

Once the file is ripped and waiting in “Ready to Print” just right click it and the “Generate Tile Map” should appear as an option. You can also generate Tile Maps once the file is printed.
  6. Best shop set up for large print runs?

We process all our wallpapers through Onyx 21 by having quick sets for each media and trimming method. Wth a couple of mouse clicks the print files are tiled and cutter marks added, all in less than a minute.....quicker if you don’t open the file in Job Editor. We then print PDF tile maps out...
  7. need real world feedback of the HP W800

John, we’ve been there with HP, good luck with a solution. If you do find one please let us know.
  8. need real world feedback of the HP W800

Hi John, We gave up on heavyweight wallpapers as could never get them to print well on our 800w. We’ve got non woven dialed in now and we’re running in a sweet spot where all our WPs are perfect in length. With heavyweight substrates we always had length issues and the media appeared to buckle...
  9. Summa F1612 Wallpaper

Hi Val, We’re a wallpaper only Team and have now had a F1612 for 2 months and are loving it. We cut to butt join with the kiss cut tool and our wps are generally all different in width and height. As said above, it’s not fast but is super accurate. Already we have no idea how we coped without...
  10. need feedback on Colex sharpcut sxc1717

We used to outsource our roll cutting to an excellent crew that uses a Zund which cut everything in their busy sign shop. All our wallpaper would come back with bits from the previous cut job all over it despite their best efforts to clean the bed between runs. We only run roll stock and...
  11. 800 w - White ink Issue

Hi Simon, Can you get Image Perfect? Here’s some IP2930 we just installed without any problem. We also did some solid whites and gradiants without issues.
  12. 800 w - White ink Issue

You’ll need to “Refresh” Onyx, I do this all day and can’t remember the exact settings after a long day and a couple of reds. Just restart Onyx and the profile should appear for selection.
  13. 800 w - White ink Issue

Hi Simon, just double check the fade out to clear is clear, a setting of 2 may give you a haze in the clear area. Good luck.
  14. 800 w - White ink Issue

Hi Simon Have you checked that you’re putting down some overcoat? Look in the Advanced Settings in the profile on the printer screen as per the attached. We’ve been printing on the clear with white using .5 overcoat and the white is stable. I can send the settings we’re using when I get in on...
  15. Head strikes while printing with HP Latex 800W

This is correct, we’ve seen this on our 800w with SAV. If it was the heads the marks would have a horizontal smudge. The media is definitely hitting the heater. We’ve had our 7 months and have only changed out one head so far.
  16. Doing my homework for my next printer

Yes, as we’re finding they weren’t aligned after each reloading of the heads and we are getting quality issues with some of the super fine white line work we’re doing. We’ve also been running the “Feel Fall” for a few months now with good results as we have a Beta version of this new firmware.
  17. Doing my homework for my next printer

Hi BB We’re 8 months into running an 800W, we’ve had some teething issues but it looks like we’re on the home run now. Each Firmware update sees this printer getting better and better. We went from an old, but good L260 and are now loving the speed, lower heat and 3L ink cartridges of the 800...
  18. need real world feedback of the HP W800

We had issues with a heavy pre pasted wallpaper walking during print which we put down to the backing being slippery. We’ve not had any issues with the pinch rollers eating the media. Our wallpapers are printing short by about 1.5cm on a 260cm length, which is manageable for us atm and HP are...
  19. need real world feedback of the HP W800

No issues with cutting on the fly, we ran a heap of wp to the floor without the take up and the panels lined up perfectly in pattern match, colour and length. You may find with this machine you’ll end up using the take up as it’s so fast compared to your 260. We initially were running at 6 pass...
  20. need real world feedback of the HP W800

Hey BB we’ve been running one for 3 months here in Oz and printing only wallpapers. We moved from an old but good 260 which although ancient we were able to produce slow but good prints. At first we had length issues between the drops on our wallpapers with the 800w. Our local Tech and HP have...
