No such thing as an unopened cartridge that has been inserted into a printer.
If the printer tells you it's empty, then it's been pushed into the puncher and the seal has already been popped.
I have both.
The Big Squeegee broke when employee dropped it....glued back together...still works.
Alumalite Squeegee has Female Velcro as buffer and doesn't get a good contact when applying wall wraps.
Maybe if I swap out buffers on it I would like it...but it just collects dust for now.
hey guys
so this is my dilemma
I have a client who's in nee to three box trucks wrapped in solid color with cut color over it. <<<< PROBABLY RIGHT HERE.
the largest being 53 ft.
im going back and forth deciding to use air release cast or non. but both cast
its a flat truck with rivets.

Unless it was their own house brand Banner material...they should have deferred the issue to the manufacturer...since it is a manufacturer problem. I would contact the manufacturer with the same evidence see what they say. Shelf life on banner material ink reception strips...LOL that's silly.
I...
Most of the empty empty door seams you can get that same effect by angling the blade a bunch.
Empty solid seams you wouldn't get enough even splitting with knifeless tape to lay enough down on the solid side.
If you're going as far as using that knifeless gap tape...you are probably using...
I hate to say it...but that looks like head strike damage to me. Not an ink flow issue.
See how the issues are in the same plane across the 3 colors...at the bottom of each head. I doubt that will clean out.
My rule: If it touches ANY Vehicle...it's Laminated Cast Vinyl.
Lower Standards for Lower Price never seems to be a good idea.
Install enough wraps with multiple vinyls and you'll know why the folks that do large volume emphasize quality cast vinyl...every time.
Our solution...3M Edge Guard Strip Protectors!
We keep 50' rolls of every color in stock. We also guarantee our wraps against all customer abuse. We use graffiti guard as laminate and put clear bra on the whole hood and rocker panels.
...not really.
This is easily answered on your own by doing some application.
Apply UN-laminated printed vinyl to substrates. If it's harder to install, or get's squirrely and edges get curved then you know you don't like using unlaminated vinyl.
Rub and scratch at the unlaminated print and see if it stands...
Not to be captain obvious but just using un-printed white 3M180Cv3 with lam is the best way to find out that it's DEFINITELY the adhesive and not an out-gassing issue.
In my experience, AVERY has Hands Down, the least aggressive adhesive.
That is also it's weakness though if not properly installed.
Try it. The backing liner isn't covered with the thick waxy coating that 3M is though...so it tears easier.
3 things it looks like:
1. I'd be willing to bet those lines correlate to the egress channel directions. If that's the case, blame it on the V3 channels trapping teeny tiny lines of air in them which you can test by using heat there and seeing if they raise.
2. Or it could be channels combining...
Either cut and drop or
set your edge along the recess, heat 6" or so away from the edge and push in with glove pulling vinyl from the heated center area as opposed to heating the edge and stretching it.
That's my favorite method for those types of recesses. I don't use primer either. DO post...
