I would suggest checking with some distributors in the ‘States. It’s been my experience that the resellers up here often tell me things have been discontinued - only to find that they’re readily available from just about any distributor South of the border.
I’m chalking it up to the laziness...
Just so I’ve got this right… with the Graphtecs, you contour/kiss cut first, then have to manually change the position of the blade, and then resend the job for the perf/flex cut?
I’d expect (and have seen) a request like this for a project along the lines of an entire University or College rebranding, a major Hospital construction, or some other massive corporate campus/facility - but for the INTERIOR of a local restaurant? C’mon.
Is that was these are even called? Where does a guy get them… preferably from somewhere in North America. Even better if there’s a supplier in Canada. Thanks!
Print minutes is time actually printing.
I've been through two power supplies (one lasted less than 8 months. Still peeved about that), and a print head data cable. Other than that, the machine's been a workshorse!
I was under the impression the print heads are the same across all three models - all of which are limited to 300 dpi along the head axis.
And at 70K print minutes, you should have lots of life left in that machine. Mine's currently sitting at 908723 !
To me, that doesn't look like scratches. Looks like what happens when the foil gets "wrinkled" before/during the print process. Does it happen on all your foils? Or just this red one?
Your settings look fine.
Try printing grey or silver…. Then overprint with Arctic White or Flood Coat White … not regular white. ARCTIC white is my preference, because you can still get decent detail with it.
