Who's Scott? Yes. Don't forget to set the Spectra Shade to Overprint or Overlap. Gerber makes it: GCX-111. It should be in your spot foil palette. It serves the same purpose as that ZeroNine foil.

I'd be using four spot colors for the blue, green, orange, and grey, then overprinting the "fade" with Spectra Shade. It's only one extra pass through the machine, but will look a million times better. ... but you could try using different half tones. Give GerberTone Fine a shot and see if...

Have you switched out the connection from the EDGE to your computer? I've gone through a few cables here in ten years.

Prices seem to be all over the map on these. Used EDGE IIs routinely sell for less than $4,000 or less on eBay... but usually they're from auction houses that don't know the condition. I've seen auctions end for as little as $1600. I'm tempted to start snatching one up just for spare parts...

Is he re-squeegeeing after he removes the application tape? Try using 3M 680CR. A little more money, but it's a dream to cut, weed, and apply. Has comply adhesive, so it's pretty much impossible to trap air underneath.
